I can image that passing is very handy for a goalkeeper. I guess a goalie should be able to pass a ball to a teammate.
Risposta:First of all, the skill "passing" doesn't mean passing the ball in general, it's all about giving the decisive pass.
That said, passing could very well become an important skill for goalkeepers in the future (but if so it would add to the counter-attack rating I guess). We picked defending however as it was the most logical pick in our opinion. As a goalkeeper it's not only important to have good reflexes, controlling and monitoring your defense is just as important - and that's what the goalkeepers in Hattrick now use their defending skill for.
