hiding the repetitive report
It's got boht pros and cons. It's a bit annoying when your coach say the same thing all over again, hence the reason for this. But sure, that information could also be worth something. But I actually think it's more annoying than useful.
But as mentioned in the MyHT, we're reworking the youth reporting stuff. And we will include the above question/problem/solution in that work.

aims
When it comes to this update we will focus on the training report (and related areas). The aim is to make the YAs a lot more fun and exciting, and I guess it also will make it somewhat easier to manage. We will not change the basics though; some mystery will still be involved and you will still need to try your players on different position. To keep it short: It's about to get to know your youth players.
We will at the same time get rid of some annoying messages (but you'll actually get all the information you fancy, including all hardcore users in here). For those of you who fancy that you could (in a way) decide which player you would get a skill report on, sorry - that won't happen. This is all about balance really, if the YA would be too easy too many good players will be produced and that's not good for the game. Morever, it also have to be in balance with the old youth system.
I can't really say that much more about this right now without spoiling the whole thing. We still got some internal tests to run, some things to tweak and some things to fix before Stage testing. It still shouldn't be that far off though.
There are some other YA issues brought up in this thread which are worth commenting on. I'll deal with them in a separate post instead.

emoved some mystery from the academies
The academies was designed to be a game within the game, and also not to work exactly as "normal" Hattrick works. Looking in the mirror I think we added too much mistery. We've removed some mystery from the academies and with this new training report version (etc) we're working on we will remove even more mystery. YAs will be overall simplified (even though some mystery will still remain).

About the quality of the youth pools:
The quality of the youth pool is not ever-worsening, it seems to be forum rumour actually. The pool is continously filled with new youth players, even those who are not picked up will eventually be removed. Players are removed from the pool when they've been dismissed a couple of times, and we also remove players who's been there more than a certain number of days (less days than one Hattrick season). So, the quality of the pool is rather constant.

About the youth league system:
The league system could be made better, definitely. At least when it comes to administrating one, but also some other stuff. It is however a huge task to change it, and we think there are more important things to work on than this right now. I'm pretty certain the time will come for a rework of the league system too, but right now we don't have any plan of when. At least not this year is my guess.

"Missing" stars in walk-over
Letting your youth team meet a bunch of street kids (instead of wo) is also a pretty huge task (but perhaps a bit easier than dealing with the league system), just as the above. And just as with league system we think there are more important things to focus on right now. Boring, the painfully true. This is something we would really like to fix, but given the limited resources we got and the number of issues in the game which we really need to deal with (the economy for example) it will have to wait.

magari qualcuno si è perso sto topic, ho copiato le parti piu interessanti..

pero non chiedetemi di tradurlo ::asd:

è preoccupante quando dice...

...stanno pensando a qualche altra modifica all'economia? :suspi:

About the balance, the YA in general produce slightly more "sellable" players , but I don't have any figures right now to prove that point. If we give another bonus to the YAs we will get even more/better players coming out of the YAs. That said, one option for later could of course be to give birth to more players who're reasonable good in many skills but lacks a really good skill.

The training is faster in the youth academy than in the senior team, that's for sure. But as it's not easy to understand the coach report or how good your player really are today - it's naturally hard to train efficient. Not being able to train 100% efficient (move ppl around etc) is a design choice though, we don't want the YAs to be the same exact training factories the regular teams are.

The background is that we had some youth players that had been drafted to a youth team, but where the manager didn't accept/deny the player and then closed his youthteam. These particular players then still "belonged" to closed teams and as a result the players stayed in the youthpool (but couldn't be drafted for any other club). We found this bug some weeks ago and "released" the players from their closed teams. Some few players who weren't old enough could then be drafted for another club (like the example in this thread), but most of the players were/are too old to be drafted. We will check if there any more of these players left in the pool now, and if so remove them from the pool even if they are in a "valid age" to avoid more confusional situations like this. This means there might be more players like the example in this thread, but there aren't many of them - and there will not be any more of them.

When you call a scout, the scout offers you a player which you have to accept/deny. This is what I called "draft" in the above post. As long as you don't answer on this draft/offer, this player can't be offered to another club. If you then deny the offer, the player gets back in the pool (and could be offered to someone else). After some denies, the player will be removed though.

There is actually a slight possibility that you could get an older playerid than one season (checked the code once again just to be 100% sure) - but only if that player never been offered to any team earlier on. And if you then deny that offer, the player will be removed from the pool instantly.

Ie, the check wether to remove the player or not is done when he's denied (apart from players turning 18, they're instantly removed). In other words, if the player has been in the pool for X days and is denied, he'll be removed from the pool. X is much less than 112 days (one season).

Youth pools are regional. How many youth players there are in a specific region depends on the number of users (users, not scouts!) in that region. The pool is refilled on daily basis (you will not get a more exact interval than that).
